Cheeky fellow!
A visit to see the evolving architecture of the Louvre, spread over some 800 years, several monarchs, a couple of revolutions, 2 emperors, and 5 republics! This bell tower over a facade built during Napoleon III: when the sculptor finished with the golden ensigna, the empire was failing and losing popularity. He put Napoleon's signature "N" backwards!! I wonder if they found him out? Talk about a political statement!!
