J is for Jumbo Jet

This was supposed to be an entry for the July alphabet challenge - but at the last minute I found today was another 'I'. Never mind, I always intended to try and catch one of the displays from the Farnborough Air Show this week, and the Airbus A380 makes impressive display.

I was fortunate to see one of its first flights at the airshow in 2006, in a fly pass accompanied by the Red Arrows, and it is only when you see it in the context of other objects that you can appreciate its size. Its tail fin alone, seen as it landed over the top of the trees,looks like the size of a house!
