Burrowing Owl at the Salton Sea

My earliest backdated blip so far--this burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia) was in a hole in the side of a small waterway at the Salton Sea in southern California. We were on an extended trip, mainly for birds. I'll try to post some more some time soon.
