Note kilt (or at least knees). I was delighted Ian chose to wear his kilt. Particularly because he got his sgian-dubh in to the ceremony which meant, as honorary degrees were being conferred, he could have assassinated the DPP and a former head of MI5 in a single stroke, and yet chose not to do so. I like this in a head of school.
Also, it gave me the perfect case study for jurisprudence next year, which is always helpful.
