Overexposed Reflections

The egret was on the ground out of the sun and suddenly flew off into the sun giving me no time to change shutter speed and therefore ended up with an overexposed photo.  All the rules would say that this shouldn't work, the photo is overexposed and the Egret isn't perfectly sharp but somehow it does.  The reflection of the Egret is almost perfect and I actually quite like it.
