Fuchsia

Today's the day ............................ to introduce the Professor

This is one of the plants that I got from the Lakeland Horticultural Society garden at Holehird.

It's a half hardy triphylla fuchsia called Professor Heinkel. Without going into any complicated details, a triphylla is usually recognisable because it has a longer tube than the more commonly cultivated type of fuchsia. Anyway, I put it in a pot and inspite of the recent endless rain and the rampaging of ravenous slugs and snails - it is thriving.

The Professor is doing very well .................................
