Up periscope

Checked out the surf at Sandy Beach mid-morning.  It was down about half of yesterday's height and action.  However, this morning was bright and sunny  as you can see!  
Liked the lineup featured on this shore break, except, really, what kind of foto did that last guy take?

Extra  1  =  The best backwash
Extra  2  =  Next in line, your turn!  Many more surfers were gathered  waiting for the waves breaking further out.  Surf-able sets did come through.

Update in paper this morning: 11.5 miles of road closed in anticipation of  dangerously high surf (with an afternoon high tide).  Some beaches were totally closed. 
The Eddie Aikau surf contest ("Eddie would go") at Waimea is on yellow alert for Thursday (to be decided that morning) when another sizable swell is expected.
