The New Road

Each year, the students on the Edinburgh Napier University MSc Publishing course publish at least one book. They get involved in all aspects of design, typesetting, research, funding and production.

This venerable typewriter was the property of Neil Munro - author of Para Handy. The book launched tonight was a new edition of The New Road, a novel which has the creation of the road (in 1733) from Stirling to Inverness (now the A9) at its heart. It's a beautiful book and includes a very impressive glossary to aid the non-Gaelic speakers.
