Big sky

There are news reports coming in that a 'big sky' was spotted over Wales earlier today! This photo is proof that we do occasionally have sunshine and blue skies (but boy it was cold).

Just out of frame to the left of this shot is the huge Airbus factory which employs around 7,000 people and builds the gigantic wings for the A380 Airbus.

The spot where I'm standing has been a crossing point of the River Dee since about 1740. A ferry was operated continuously by five generations of the Manifold family until a footbridge was finally constructed in 1968.
