Wall Plaque
Last night Albany had a record amount of rain.
Throughout the night, the rain came down in torrents, and this morning the deluge was visible everywhere ....
Shop owners were busy sweeping water from their premises, lifting wet carpets and it was evident that a lot of damage had been suffered.
With three small children whose energy levels hovered at dangerously high peaks, it was impossible to go to the wet, cold beach for a swim.
So we attempted some serious sight seeing, visited a few places, a market, had some pancakes, scones and soup!
Inside the beautiful historical Anglican Church, this wall plaque was spotted.
I wish I knew the meaning of the words.
As the rain continued, we went to a Memorial site that overlooked the Princess Royal harbour - situated high up on a hill, the view from there was breathtaking.
Later we visited the Sandalwood factory outside of town and and were enchanted by the lovely sandalwood scented products offered for sale.
While driving back to the Emu Point Chalets where we stayed, we could not believe the amount of water present in the fields - it seemed to have no where to go.
