Inchgreen Dry Dock
On my way home from Glasgow, I took a diversion to avoid some traffic and just as the sun was disappearing came across theses cranes at the Inchgreen Dry Dock at Port Glasgow. Not sure whether the dock is still used - it didn't look like it. It was built in the early sixties and at the time, it was one of the largest dry docks in the world (1000 feet long, 145 feet wide and 50 feet deep).
Extras were taken at the Necropolis. Fascinating place and clearly a well known photographers haunt as nearly everyone I passed was sporting a camera.
