Day 054/16. Evil critters, but photogenic....

My wife (the gardener of the family) has issued a 'Kill on Sight' directive against all Lily Beetles.
But outside at lunchtime today I found this one wandering around on one of our shrubs even though it is way to early for any Lily foliage. This chap probably can be added to the list of those confused by the exceptionally mild winter.
I only just caught this one, you can see his wing cases starting to open for him to fly off.
I let it escape........
