William Blake and a sunset.

'Joy and woe are woven fine,
A clothing for the soul divine,
Under every grief and pine,
Runs a joy with silken twine.
It is right it should be so,
We were made for joy and woe,
And when this we rightly know,
Through the world we safely go.'

by William Blake

This poem came into my mind today . I knew the poem by heart many years ago but understand it differently now.

Human experience is so raw for so many and yet shot through with wonder , mystery and beauty .
And it does seem that our joy and our sorrow are inextricably linked.

There were some moments of sunshine today.
