Tombland Alley
A late blip, so it will probably be rushed.
I had a long day, getting out with the dogs at 6.45 and into work by 8.30.
At lunchtime I wandered through here - it may have another name and I've run out of research time, but the sign just through the gap says Tombland Alley. Apart from Elm Hill, this building on the left is one of my favourite. It is a bits and pieces you don't really need shop now. I'll find out what it used to be next time I am there. The building behind me as i took the photo, of the same vintage, is up for sale. I would love to go in - I may have to put on a posh frock and pretend to be a rich person - then I might get a viewing!
I walked through, to the cathedral and wandered. I sat down and began a poem, but it's 'to be continued'. Had a chat to an old work colleague on the phone, then wandered back. It was chilly but as always, thought provoking. I'm always thinking.
Worked until gone 5.30 as I had the 'late' tonight, and got home at 7, just in time for dinner and The Archers. Did an hour of sewing then we watched last week's 'murder in paradise'. Now bed.
