A lovely day by the sea

Gulli and i went to Brighton!
We called in on my dear old friend Karen who is also Gulli's Godmother and her Mum Anita (see extra shots), we had lunch together and Anita showed us some of the amazing things she has been knitting, dolls with clothes, flower fairies, animals, birds, scarves, gloves!!! She is amazing and gave me a beautiful doll and some gloves, a doll's blanket and some lavender scented bunnies!  the photo shows her with all her bags of wool.

Then Karen, Gulli and I walked through the Lanes, Karen bought Gulli a lovely shirt for his Birthday with Dragons on it, we ended up at the Pier where we met up with another old friend Sarah (see extra photo), we haven't seen each other for 4 years, mad how time flees, great to catch up with her, Gulli played the penny falls and other games in the arcade and we ran into DJ Mat Frost and family, we are internet friends but hadn't actually met so that was really nice!

Then Karen, Sarah, Gulli and I walked along the front to a lovely little cafe and had tea, we drew on the table with chalk as it was also a blackboard which was fun.

Back to Karen's where Anita had made a face for my dolly, we said goodbye to Bertie and Bonbon the dogs and hugged Karen and Anita goodbye and headed for the train.

It has been such a great day, so good to see old friends are more like family and to see the sea again too. A lovely end to half term.
