Winter Wood

I know I should be more charitable but ... I love it when the school holidays are over and I get the landscape back to myself I was sorry that today was a dull rainy day for that reason but the rain stopped late morning. Open moor or sea shore weren't going to be the thing because of the dull skies but Hisley Bridge.seem a good choice.

It's quite a long walk the way I usually get there but looking for something else on the OS online map, I noticed a car park which was a little closer than the one I've used before and that seemed to make it a more practical proposition. The way back is uphill though so it still makes a good walk.

During the whole time I was there I didn't see another living soul, which is remarkable because this is dog walk heaven and times I've been before I've always had to wait for dogs to stop playing in the water in front of me. So it all worked out very well, especially as the rain waited until I got back to the van.before starting again. There are a few more here if you'd like to see them.

I thought my 'Dawn at the Ness' blip had peaked yeterday but it's gained another place up to #3. Marvellous!
