MonoMonday -- Ancestors
In the centre of the picture is my father, the man to his right and seated became my brother in law.
Their picture was taken in about 1942 when they were members of the First Aid section of civil defence, like the Home Guard, they were all too old or unfit for fighting. I remember my father coming back, worn out, from Birmingham and Coventry after they'd been blitzed  but he would never talk about it.
