Is that two ears amongst the ears ?

... and it was!

Apothecary7's day off today and after out morning trip to Broughty Ferry for coffee and a wander round we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk before lunch. As we walked down the bridle path towards the shore I spotted two ears in the crop.
Two ears sticking up.
Two ears twitching.

What a genuinely thrilling surprise to see a lovely Roe deer just 10 yards in from the path resting in the crop marks left by the tractor when it sprayed the field a few days ago. We slowly moved along the path until I got this clear view of her and thankfully the crop is high enough that she didn't catch sight of Maeve (and vice versa!). She looked at me with no apparent fear at all as I slowly raised the camera and took a few shots, then we slowly moved off and left her to enjoy her quiet spot in peace :-)
