60's Birthday Bash

A friend of ours had a big 60th birthday party at a local hall and chose the 1960`s as a theme. The hall had been decorated 2 weeks ago for a 70's ball, which we attended but I forgot to upload the photos - another backblip coming up. Our friend asked if they could leave the decorations up as they fitted in with the theme. There is a bit of cross-over with the 60's and the 70's fashion, anyway. It seems that there were a lot of hippies in Austria during the 60's as there were only a handful dressed in 60's street fashion with hardly a mod or rocker or mini skirt in sight (See extra - I wasn't embarrassed about exposing my fat legs as I remembered that EVERYONE wore miniskirts.)  
Friends go to a lot of trouble for significant birthday parties over here. There are usually a lot of skits, poems, songs and 'presents' all designed to embarrass the birthday person. There were a lots of these for our friend - a lot of things I didn't understand but the photo in the extra I did. This is a spare bike on a trolley that he can tow behind him in case his bike gets stolen again. He is a keen cyclist and had his very expensive bike stolen a couple of years ago.It was a great night with fabulous food and entertainment.
