The Door!!

Headed down to Belton House for a wee visit and thoroughly enjoyed the visit not only to the grounds but also to the house itself.

The main part of the house was not open yet, but we managed to see the Kitchen and where all the servants would be working away all day.

The tour was taken by an ex Army chap and it was all conducted in his best military style which came across just brilliantly!!

Afterwards we headed into the village for a wee "nosey", and I came across this fab door which just seemed to be around for ages!!

.....and if Wood could talk, I wonder just who would have ventured thru this door down through the ages......Also it just might be my entry for this weeks Blip Challenge which aptly is entitled....
