Glass

My local area is extremely famous for its glassmaking heritage, and but a minute's walk from my house is a wonderful working glass factory and museum. I've taken a fair few pictures there over the years when we regularly visit, and have always eyed up this selection of vintage glassware they have displayed in one of the old disused furnaces.

Never seemed to be much of an interesting shot by itself though, until today I saw that they have backlit the display with a lamp, and now suddenly it's got a little more kick for my eye.

If I had shot this with the old zeiss lens I would have titled it 'Vintage Glass with Vintage Glass". But I didn't, so I shan't.
