Talk of Curlews

It didn't look too promising today, but I thought I'd have a wander before the rain started. In the event it was much brighter than forecast, and we had some spectacular rainbows, but it was so windy that I had trouble standing up, so the walk was a short one. On the local birding sites, there was talk of returning curlews, but I didn't see any today. There are lots of Skylarks nearby though, reclaiming their nesting sites
