Hanmer Bridge, Waiau River

The bridge at the Hanmer turnoff spans the Waiau River between high cliffs.  The excess rain over the past week has the river running milky.  Usually it is a beautiful blue/green.

I chose this image because I like the scale the tractor in the foreground gives to the river and cliffs.  The tractor is used to tow the jet boat down to the river for the Hanmer Jet Boat rides and to anchor the wee portable jetty that they use for the customers to board.
