Spotlight

A crazy day with spring-like temps drew lots of folks out and about. 

This is Ron; I'd spotted him earlier, sitting on a window ledge, enjoying a smoke in seeming rapture. So I stopped and had a bit of a chat with him. After all the nasty weather we'd been having, he was elated to just bask in the sun for a bit. "Rain's the worst," he says, "you just can't get warm once you're soaked." As for the blizzard, he apparently enjoyed that (though he headed to a shelter): "don't see DC come to a stop like that often" as he broke into a giggle. 

I was tempted to ask for his portrait after our conversation, but it just did not feel right.
