Just because the sun is shining and the sky a brilliant blue, the way we live changes: all the doors are wide open, the garden is beginning to cooperate with us; breakfast and crosswording take place on the patio; Radio 4 is a murmur through the open window; people are laughing and smiling; we sit outside for our coffee and scone at Coast; blipping is easier; life is just lovely.
