COMING HOME PART 1

Easy start..... in no hurry to start our 6 hour journey as even with breaks will make it for dinner.
#Left a gloriously sunny Soll (after a quick supermarket dash to pick up some wine)
Drove into Germany....through the green hills and forests
#stopped in Augsburg for a coffee and enormous cake!....very wet and windy and starting to snow.
#within 10 mins of leaving we could hardly see due to the snow....then within another 10 mins it had all disappeared. Due to traffic we took a detour and went into Narnia. I have never seen such snow drifts. The road was clear but it was piled waist high on the roadside. We drove for about 30 mins round mountain roads through thick forests and snow and more snow (sssh not sure this detour was a good idea....please don't tell The Rev!!!)
#So glad to make it to Metz at 8:30. (Nearly 3 hours later) Then The rev went out for a quick stroll to find somewhere to eat and for lost around the town!!!! Hopeless!!!


50/366.....a chance to experience some quite extraordinary weather patterns within minutes of each other....all very odd!!!
