I love it when a plan comes together!!

Alternative title……..a tale of 3 ladies :0)

Last December I bought 2 tickets at Newark Northgate Station from Lady No 1 (the picture in Extras that day) and won 2 first class tickets on Virgin trains.
 
The initial plan was to go to Edinburgh for the Tattoo, but it’s a bit late for this year as getting accommodation was difficult.
 
So a change of plan and destination to Aberdeen and a trip to the Braemar Highland gathering. I attended once before as a teenager (a long time ago), but didn’t when we lived in Scotland, as we always went to Fort William on the first Saturday in September for B to take part in the Ben Nevis hill race.
 
Lady No 2 was the delightful lady who advised me on the best seating at the gathering and sent out our tickets. We are allocated seat numbers so can go a wandering together rather than one at a time, with one of us saving the seats.
 
Lady No 3 is Jenny at Virgin HQ who rang to give me the news, has communicated with me by email and sent out the tickets this week.
 
The rest of the plan has been arranged on the internet. Car hire, also accommodation in Aberdeen and Aboyne. We will head up to the Moray Firth area to visit relations and old haunts whilst we are away.
 
We haven’t visited the relations whilst I’ve been blipping, so look forward to having a record of some of the special places that are meaningful to us.
