A light in the darkness

This flower caught my eye as I came in from the garden today.  The low sun just catching it's vibrant petals.  A symbol of hope.  New hope for Blip thanks to the community buy-out (and the fab four.)  New hope for my family too as we work to give the girls the opportunities for the future that they need.  .....And hope that my laptop will soon be back with me and restore my connections with the e-world :-)

Romulea atranda, a South African bulb with flowers reminiscent of a crocus.  Many bulbs from that region suffer very little frost so do not survive in UK gardens but this is a welcome exception.
