Today we travelled to Ostia Antico. Its about 50 minutes outside the city centre by tube and train and used to be the old port of Rome. Its incredibly well preserved and a sort of Pompeii without the volcano (and the people) because of its scale.

I love light and shade and was in my element. It was so difficult to chose from the shots I took but I settled on this largely because of the shadow that assists the composition.
