Oor Willie

I had a bit of a surprise when I walked through to our office reception today. Instead of the usual assortment of budding entrepreneurs, I found a life size plaster oor Willie complete with his bucket (that is what he is sat upon). Oor Willie is a DC Thomson icon and Dundee is the home of DC Thomson. This year businesses in the city will sponsor and decorate their own oor Willie and together they will form a bucket trail across Dundee. A nice, fun idea for the city. I am sure they will look fab when they are painted. Frankly, he looked a bit spooky unpainted and colourless!
