Train houses

I must have gone past these sheds hundreds of times. They're on the South West Trains route from Wimbledon up to Waterloo. I've always liked them but I've never been exactly sure why. Maybe it's something to do with Thomas the Tank Engine, as these are like houses for trains. (Not that I'm a massive Thomas fan, these days, but I once was. I particularly loved that big circular contraption that the trains could turn 'round on.)

Today was one of those funny days: everything was based around a 45 minute meeting. I came down to London yesterday afternoon and after lunch with John I went down to Wimbledon to my brother's flat, where we hung out and chatted until Izzy arrived - she's in London for an interview tomorrow - and then we met my folks and went for a curry at Ahmed's.

It's funny, I've always been slightly self-conscious about how much lager I drink when having a curry and how quickly I get through it but this evening I did exactly the same with pints of lime and soda which was reassuring somehow.

This morning, I borrowed my folks car to get 'round to Heathrow for the 45 minute meeting and then I drove back o my folks' and started the journey back north, to (eventually) pick up Dan and Abi for tea.
