Final day!

I bought these tulips on Feb 5th and they sat on my kitchen windowsill until L and I went to Elie on the 12th. They survived the car journey and have spent the last week beside the living room window.
You can see just how dirty the windows get when you are so close to the sea and the spray that accompanies the very high, stormy winter tides ..... no point cleaning them at this time of year!
As L and I were packing up to come home I looked at the tulips .... they had started to wilt and I knew they would never make it home so just before I removed them to the garden waste bin I took a quick blip. The petals did start to fall as I removed the flowers from the vase.
