Farnborough - A380

What can I say about Farnborough. As an example of engineering prowess, and to see some truly remarkable aircraft what a day it was!

Being a boy and being an engineer probably predisposes me towards being nerdy about all this, but you can't help but be impressed by the A380 (seen here). About 360 tonnes of aeroplane, gently, almost silently wafting through the air at only 120 knots. Quite staggering, but also its agility in the air too.

We got to go inside a USAF Boeing C-17 too, that is one hell of a heavy lift aircraft, and engineered to be adaptable. The loadmaster was telling us about having 4 helicopters in the back of it! Had a sit in the co-pilot's seat too (big childish grin!) and a few pictures of the globemaster here
