What a busy day it has been today. Was it really only just the day before yesterday that we were being tentative about hitting the road? Things have moved on! Plans have shaped up. Symbolic actions have been taken.
We are doing it. We don't know when. We do know that we are doing it properly and that we shall be selling the house (all enquiries welcomed). Clearly it will not happen until after Retirement Day, in September. It may not happen for a year or two after that as we either need to sell the house or wait for some lump sums to come in. We also know that Brunhilde will be replaced before we go full time. We have decided to cancel the French Plan for 2016 and to stick to the UK until we have a new van.
Mr L is splitting his time between packing up his model railway and looking at vans for sale. I have been doing deals, writing FB and blog posts and photographing said model railway items for sale on eBay.
My next task is to see if I can find somebody wanting to swap a travel spinning wheel for my beautiful Matchless.
The first of our declutterings has already happened and items have been walking out of the door all day today. I feel lighter of spirit already.
I'm making a web site (must work out why the header image is being distorted, or we'll never sell that odd-shaped house!) for listing items to give away or sell but already there is a lot less left to rehome as a single post to our residents group on Facebook brought about many requests for specific items "when the time comes". I LOVE Sanday. :-)
It will always be home now - even if we have no house to come back to, we'll bring the van. They'll not be rid of us that easily. Oh, no.
