We've got to Go.

Half term holidays. Grandchildren. Many years ago it was Snakes and Ladders then Ludo, Drafts, a vast number of computer games. Then came Monopoly (many different versions), Cluedo plus fifty more boardgames ending with the challenge of Chess.

But now we have reached the ultimate brain wracker - Go.

Go originated in China 2500 years ago. It is claimed that there are more possible move combinations than there are atoms in the known universe. There are 181 black stones and 180 white ones. It is said there are 40 million players world wide.

Its chief virtue for Knottman is that it is a game for two players and as Mrs.K. Is a mathematician - well, I can get on with Blipping which is challenging enough for me.
