Whilst the sun shines

It's another beautiful morning so with Rik having the day off we drove  down to the five mile road and walked from La Pulente to The Splash and back. The tide was down and the beach was empty, probably on account that the wind was strong and chilly.
We noticed these Sanderlings down by the shoreline running up and down with the waves. They were quite cute in their movements and high-pitched calls. There was also couple of Oyster-catchers (see extras), Gulls, Brent Geese and at least one Curlew hunting on the rocks amongst the seaweed. I must go back again to get more shots of the shore birds, but when it's warmed up a bit!

The forecast doesn't look as bad for the weekend, still a lack of sunshine but not as wet I thought it might be.
