Grilled
In Thailand, grills come in all sizes. This is a large one, ready to serve lunch to many people near a popular day-trip spot. Smaller grills can be found at many restaurants or street-side stands.
Even smaller ones can be spotted attached to bikes or push carts for people selling dried squid. The squid, most of them smaller than my hand, are dried, clipped to a rack, and flapping in the wind until you order. Then one or two are unclipped, rolled through something like a pasta maker to make them extra thin, and grilled for a minute or two on a small, charcoal grill. When warm and toasty, they are chopped into bite size pieces and put in a bag with a skewer for you to enjoy.
