Bats

Another wonderful sunset tonight following the amazing sunset over the Glass House Mountains yesterday and after a pretty long drive we made it to Grafton.  It's almost 1,400 km's from Bundaberg to the Blue Mountains so we try and pace ourselves so that we don't put undue pressure on the driving.  

I nearly fell over when I looked up just after sunset and the sky was almost black with bats flying over.  Apparently there are thousands of them and they are an absolute nightmare for the fruit growers in the district.  CCN gave me a timely warning to keep my mouth shut as I watched in awe at the spectacle.
