I surprised Alex at lunch today and stayed for recess too.  I had so much fun watching him and his friends play Fliers Up (we hear about it and all his "awesome catches" everyday).  To watch them play in-person was way cooler than the after school replays.  I also became a "base" for some sweet little girls that were eager to introduce themselves, received many hugs from current and old classmates of Alex's, and had a very detailed conversation about desserts (ones I just "have to make for Alex") with one of my favorite buddies of Alex's. I can't really remember many of my recesses at that age, but I'm putting this down as one of my all time favorites.
