Numbers Game

Thanks for you kind wishes for H, she said thanks from deep within the duvet. Alas she is not really any better today but at least she has some sleep so I'm really hoping she's turned a corner.

I had meetings today so I left the house at 10:30 after explaining to the children that Alf was in charge of lunch and it was beans on toast and instructing Alf on maintaining the woodburning stove.

I called home at about 12:45, Alf was just serving lunch, he'd even remembered that Poppy likes marmite on her toast (under the beans). The fire was out though ;)

The first meeting went well, we won the work, new client, national chain needs a rebrand. All very interesting.

The second meeting was a pitch to a Cambridge client, quite a decent chunk of work which we are perfect for. There are however 4 other agencies who feel the same way. Amusingly we saw who one of them were and I know for a fact we are far better suited to the work. Anyway a good meeting, lots of people in the room, skpye and video calls on different systems to different people in the states and mainland Europe. Paul led the pitch and did a cracking job, I was just there to help if needed.
