Since I got a bit of change from my tax bill, I decided to spend a little on accessories for my camera which I will claim back off next years expenses!.

I've ordered a new zoom lens; its not an expensive one as I'm still just dabbling, but it's one that was recommended on a couple of forums and photography guides.
I was going to buy a 75-300mm lens, but these were slated for picture quality and general clunkiness, so instead I went for their suggested alternative; a 55-250mm lens with an image stabiliser.

I've also bought a bundle which included a lens hood, uv filter and a cpl filter.
Mr A bought me a tripod at Christmas, so I reckon I'm pretty much sorted for kit; I just need to learn how to use it all properly!

I'm keen to learn more about my 'proper' camera and aim to start taking more photos with it when Mr A and I start getting out and about again in spring, but could really do with a bit of tuition. I'm more of a kinaesthetic learner; show me and I'll pick it up, so books aren't really an option for me.

I've found a local camera club, but they meet on Friday nights, which is the worst time for me as it's our 'Laura' night.

I'm sad to say most of my blip photos are still done on my phone; it's just easier for me and until I get to grips with my camera, it's that or nothing!
