An art and history journey to Dresden...

Joined a lecture about the history of Dresden city today. Learned about "die Frauenkirche", "die alte Hofkirche", the Semper Opera House, the bombing of the city Feb.13th. 1945 as well as the rebuilding operation of the city. Impressive. I have been in Dresden a few times, but not seen this beautiful city as a tourist. Certainly a place worth visiting again. The picture on the blip is from one of the buildings presented today. Unfortunately, I did not note which.
