The Jesuit Church
We had snow. Not in Funchal, obviously, but on the high mountain tops. You could see it from down here and the locals were really excited. I was here, up at the Abrigo do Pastor (shepherd's shelter) for a meal years ago, when it snowed. Everyone was dancing around with excitement.
In Funchal we had rain, interspersed with sun. As one of my friends said : it was a pastel de nata kind of day.
I spent quality time in the cathedral, got fed up because my favourite cafe in the Sacred Art Museum has closed, and visited the Jesuit Church.
It's today's blip. It's stunning.
I then got lost going to see Picture Poems in her fabulous hotel (fun, as ever over here) and she gave me a guided tour. I love her hotel. So beautiful as you can see from her blips.
Off for a local meal in the suburb which was Cristiano Ronaldo's birthplace...... It's all go.
