Tyndale Monument
Walked from North Nibley out to Coombe Hill with views over Wotton-under-Edge then back via the tower. Cloud increased through the afternoon and by the time the top of the tower was reached a fair breeze could be felt. Views from the top were fantastic though a little hazy in the distance but could still clearly make out the Severn Bridge in the distance.
Tyndale was of course responsible for the first translation of the Bible into English, not a popular move at the time and he was burned at the stake in 1536.
