Propeller Pals

Katie and Gordon perched on top of the propeller at Dunbar harbour. After swimming (free for children all summer - thanks East Lothian Council!) we went for an explore. The sun was shining for the first time for weeks (it seems like) and we had a lovely time.

Big Blades.

I used the D5100 for the first time today - since I got it it's poured every day. I went through all the settings with the help of Mr Rockwell and I was very disappointed with the results. The bright sky and shadowed propeller and harbour walls created blown-out highlights and black shadows. Much more playing with settings required.
