Tuis

After that terrible day yesterday, this morning dawned clear and calm.

The tuis were very active  today and two young birds spent a lot of time playing and squabbling in the tree with the feeding station. I decided to make them my blip but couldn't get them both in the one shot.

I have put 3 extras as well as the main blip because it was the best way to show their wonderful colouring. Although Tuis some times appear black, they actually have no black feathers at all. Do take a look at the extras, especially the 3rd one, and enjoy the colours on their back.

I got a shock to see how much the leaves on the silver birch trees have changed  already as we head towards the end of summer.
