A seventh of a sixth of not a lot: If we'd have done this shopping on Monday we'd have saved about 30p.
That's how the sums work out on your average (mostly zero rated for VAT) grocery bill and that's what our glorious leaders have come up with as a great way of encouraging us all to go out and spend spend spend. Clever eh?
Go and buy that £700 camera next week - you might save yourself £15!
I'm not complaining. I don't even mind. I just think we are governed by a bunch of clever eejits.
