Cu Chi Tunnels

We had a really interesting tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels today- it was fascinating to hear about how the Viet Cong lived and fought during the war and to understand how brutal the conditions were. After studying the war at school, it was surreal to see how these secretive guerrilla tactics overpowered the technology and power of the US. We braved the first set of tunnels (they were tiny!!!!). They felt claustrophobic, dark and humid..we skipped the hardcore tunnels where you had to crawl on your hands and knees and literally suck in your tummy!
