New Lanark
Wednesday 17th Feb 2016 (1271)
We woke to a complete covering of snow, the view from the window looked lovely. The roads were fine so we headed off to New Lanark and the Visitors Centre, a World Heritage Site. It is a wonderful place to explore and so informative. The Annie McLeod experience was very good. It was interesting to learn all about the village, Robert Owen was certainly a man before his time with a great vision.
This is the view from the roof garden down on to the Clyde. There was a tremendous amount of water. We would have liked to have visited the falls but the path would have been too wet and slippy.
In the afternoon the sun came out and there was a blue sky so we traveled back cross country and stopped at a viewpoint. We certainly couldn't complain about the weather today.
