Life on the Canal

I walked from Kentish Town Road Lock (there are three locks at Camden) on the canal towards Regents Park and I came off near Primrose Hill Park. I walked over Primrose Hill and made my way up to Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road. I stopped off for a coffee and then continued walking down the hill towards West Hampstead/Kilburn. Quite a good walk on a beautiful sunny day. It was -3C and frost early morning and rose to +8C late afternoon. Snow is forecast on Thursday!!

The picture is between Hawley Lock and Hampstead Lock. They are replacing some of the lock gates at Hawley Lock. On the left of the picture they have removed the market stalls where the black hoardings stand and the railway archways are and are renovating the whole area. One of the new buildings is Hawley infant School. The land is now privately owned.
